The Croydon Branch of the BCSS was founded in 1952 to provide a centre for growers of cacti and the other succulent plants in the local area and to enable them to meet regularly and share their common interest.
Regular meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, except January, in the Small Hall, Sanderstead Methodist Church, Limpsfield Road, Sanderstead, CR2 9EF.
See our contact us page for more details of how to find us.
Meetings start at 7.30pm and finish around 10.00pm. They generally consist of illustrated talks of interest to both novices and experienced growers. Talks feature cultivation, propagation, a particular genus or group of plants and travelogues. Other attractions at meetings are a competitive table show (open to all) and plant sales. See our meetings and table show pages for more details.
The Branch participates in several local events to promote the British Cactus and Succulent Society and to sell plants, and we hold our Annual Show at our usual venue in July.
